Amarnath Yatra is one of the most popular
pilgrimages among the Indians. Amarnath Temple, located in Jammu and Kashmir is
a Hindu shrine. The cave is 3,888 m above the sea level and is 141 km from
Srinagar. It is one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus.
The cave is situated
in the mid of snowy mountains and is snow covered almost the entire year. It is
opened for a short period during the summer. The Amarnath Yatra by helicopter is a three day and four-night tour.
On the first day, we reach the Lake City,
Srinagar. We have the city tour which includes beautiful sightseeing gardens
from Mughal era- Nishad, Chasmashahi, and Shalimar which is closed on Friday.
The exquisite queens used to relax with the kings of the Mughal emperor in
these gardens which are now famous picnic spots. We also see the Dal Lake and
have shikara ride on it.
The next day, we move to Batlal early morning. We
board a helicopter to reach Barari- Marg. The trekking to Amaranth cave starts
from here. We have a darshan of the holy cave and  Shiv-Lingam and rest
overnight in Sonmarg.
On the third day, we move back to Srinagar and rest overnight there. You can go shopping and enjoy evening view in the city.
The last day we end our Amarnath Yatra by helicopter.
