Amarnath yatra is one of the most awaited yatra by lord shiv devotees every year. This yatra is held every year for approx. 2 months only, this year it will be held for 43 days. It will begin on 30th June and end on the pure day of Rakshabandhan, i.e. 11th august. 

The registration for Amarnath yatra has begun from 1st April. Age limit of this yatra is 13 to 75 years, because there is low level of oxygen present at some points during this yatra. Your Amarnath Yatra package 2022 should include your stay at Baltal(starting point of yatra) and your whole registration and medical process also. 

You will find hundreds of “langars”(community free food) on your way to the holy shrine. These “langars” have huge variety of food present there of every Indian cuisine. So, you don’t have to worry about the food on this yatra. Most of the people do this yatra through on their foot, but some people also cover the yatra on the horses. Helicopter service is also started nowadays, for which you need to do a prior booking. 

Amarnath yatra itinerary, will include your pickup from Srinagar and from there you will be taken to Sonmarg, where you will do a night stay. Next day you will be taken to Baltal and from their you will march towards the holy shrine of lord shiva. After coming back, you will be straight dropped to Srinagar.

Every year, devotees come in large numbers to do this yatra in spite of the harsh weather. The “shivling” of lord shiva present at the cave is made of snow and is not man-made; “shivling” gets it’sshape every year by itself. It is believed that lord shiva and his wife goddess Parvati stayed here for some period of time, which makes this place so special.
